This vintage 1pt sterling English cup was made in 1956 in Sheffield, England by the prestigious silversmiths Mappin & Webb. Typical flared lip, reeded handle and a stepped base compliment the undecorated body which could be engraved with the initials of the new owner.

These would make a great addition to any English sterling silver, Mappin & Webb or tankard collection or as a gift for a man cave bar area. Marked: M & W (Mappin & Webb) Crown (Sheffield Assay mark) Lion Passant (Sterling mark) O (Year mark 1956) Marked underneath: Mappin & Webb Ltd London & Sheffield MEASUREMENTS Solid sterling silver tankard measures 3.5 wide (5.5" with handle) by 4.75" tall and weighs 299 grams. CONDITION In good condition with no damage (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
