RARE FRENCH DOUBLE STERLING SILVER EGG CUP c1910 ANTIQUE
A beautiful and unusual French solid silver double egg cup. It is hallmarked with the 950 Minerva Head standard mark and a makers mark. I would date it to c1910. It has been superbly designed having two differing sized cups, one looks to be for a hen's egg the other possibly duck? It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures 2 inches tall by 1.75 inches (4.5cms) across the large cup a fraction less across the smaller one and weighs 30 grams. A beautifully made more unusual piece. If you have any queries etc... To see lots more rare and beautiful silver.
