Gorgeous antique French hallmarked sterling silver oversized chocolate, coffee or tea cup with married saucer, acanthus & foliate accenting with unique shaped cup, sinuous foliate handle and wonderful condition! Yes, the cup and saucer are not original to each other. Both bear the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" in each means they're both in. 950 sterling silver 95% pure and above the. 925 standard for "sterling" silver. I see one silversmith mark but it's not legible so haven't been able to find reference.

As noted above, the cup and saucer are not original to each other. Some visible dark or tarnish spots and possibly a tiny dimple or two but no larger dents, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for all weights and measurements. We're easy to deal with.
