Very ornately engraved sterling cup. The maker is John Edward Terry and the date mark appears to be 1841 showing a young queen.
Octogonal shape showing engraving on all sides in an oriental style. Has a gold wash inside the cup. John Edward Terrey Co (John Edward Terry) was an important English silversmith producing mainly tableware and presentation pieces.
He crafted very few new items and would recuperate silverware by aletering them or repurposing. He started silversmithing in 1814 and passed away in 1859. Cup measures approximately 3 inches tall x 3 1/2 inches wide at top from edge of cup to end of handle. We always leave feedback once we receive one.
