Antique Georgian Sterling Silver English Tankard Mug Christening Cup London 1772

  
A lovely small antique Georgian sterling silver christening cup hallmarked in London 1772 with the makers mark of WB, probably Walter Brind. It is in very good condition with no repair and sits firmly on a raised circular base which has banded decoration. The double scroll handle has an applied silver decoration to include a thumbpiece.

The body is plain apart from two sets of stylised initials. Hallmarks are clearly struck to the base.
