This is a lovely and substantial Georgian sterling silver loving cup hallmarked in London 1732 and made by Thomas Farren. Farren was an important silversmith in the 18th century and was subordinate goldsmith to the King George 2nd. It has been made with a thick gauge of silver and weighs approximately 22 ounces. It has two substantial handles and sits firmly on a raised circular base.

It is of plain design with no engravings or initials. A fine and heavy loving cup from this well respected Georgian silversmith.
