Tested positive for coin silver, 900/1000 parts fine silver. Probably made from melted American or Spanish coins, a commonly used source of silver back in the day. Perfect for the boardroom, a fun day at the racetrack or a nice trail ride yes, you should use & enjoy this beaker! Entirely hand wrought, very nicely executed. Top diameter measures 3 1/8 inches. Beaker weighs a sturdy 122.5 grams or 3.93 troy ounces! An original hand-engraved, script period monogram marks this piece for prosperity. A couple of minor dings from normal use over the past 190+ years. Beautiful, time-enhanced silver patina throughout.
