RARE INTERNATIONAL STERLING SILVER WASHINGTON CAMP CUP YALE GARVAN HUMPHREYS. This is a sterling silver reproduction of the camp cup that George Washington used while he was at Valley. The reproduction is taken from the collection of Mabel Brady Garvan, which is now in the permanent.
The piece was originally made by a Master Silversmith named Richard Humphreys. Who learned his trade in Wilmington, Delaware and then opened a shop in Philadelphia in 1780. Stands 1 5/8" tall x 2" at the opening. It carries the Washington family crest of an eagle on a crown. And was made by the International Silver Co.
And weighs over 55 grams. I have 1 more of these cups if you. Are interested and they are all in like new condition with no monograms, except the crest, of course. Make a great cup for liquors, cordials or a shot glass. These cups are rare and will never be reproduced again.
